A Tour of Southwest England

Written by Kevin No Comments Yet

Tomorrow, Leah and I are headed out of town for a few days to relax, recover and celebrate. Our fifth anniversary is coming up this September and there’s a good chance that we’re going to be busy with Canvas stuff about then, so we’re headed out now. We’ve hired a car and we’re just going to drive, heading down to the Southwest part of the country into places like Cornwall, Bath, and St. Ives. We may even try and hit Stonehenge, depending on how relaxed and recovered we feel and how much we’d like to try and fit in. It’s all easy going; we’re going to go and stop when we want…and keep the planning to a minimum.

It’s a welcome break as we really have been going non-stop with tiny recoveries here and there - enough to keep going. But this one should be a big recharge, a preparation for the coming days of our next year with Canvas. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been here for eight months and yet, here we are, ready to take a break after a time that has exceeded our expectations and work that has been hard and tremendously rewarding.

So, we’ll see you in a bit.

Some Photos from Canvas

Just wanted to draw your attention to some photos that have been posted to the Canvas website. Take a look at the snapshots from a recent festival at Birmingham Uni called Vale Fest and the following BBQ we had for the students who made the magic happen.

Video: Music from Pavilion

Written by Kevin No Comments Yet

Last weekend, Leah and I were happy to join with some friends from our church, Pavilion, for a weekend away in the country. While we were there, we relaxed a little, enjoyed some great conversations and teaching, and had a variety night of music, comedy, and silliness. Here are two bits of music that were featured that night.

The first is a lovely couple who has been married for 70 years and the second is a Freddy and the Flat-Mates version of Mustang Sally. Enjoy.
