It was an amazing night of live music, great food, and meaningful conversation. For the first time in Canvas history, we hosted a Bible study. Another first for Canvas: 100% of the people who came to the Canvas House that night, stayed afterward to hang out and have some fun at what is fast becoming a special destination for the student community.

The team are so overjoyed and excited about starting this new chapter at Canvas and see an exciting future ahead! It was a night that was indeed more than we hoped for and are looking forward to making it a better and better way to take those who are interested in faith to new and deeper levels.

The Canvas team was out on the streets again this past Saturday, picking up litter and giving back to the community. Our Clean Up Selly Oak (CUSO) efforts have gotten the attention of the local community, the Birmingham City Counsel and even the University.
Here are a few photos from the morning.
For these and other photos, visit photos.constantjourney.com.
This is just one way that Canvas shows care to the environment, people and community around us.

The wall in the Canvas House announcing our Canvas Bible study.
And so it begins. All this stuff that we’ve been about for the past year, leads us to this point. Bible study begins at Canvas tomorrow. Tomorrow also happens to mark the one year anniversary of our time in England. Funny how that’s worked out.
Here’s what we’ve said about Bible study on the Canvas website:
We’re having a what?! Bible study?? This is Bible study CANVAS STYLE: Well, you don’t bring a Bible and there is no studying. Come have some dinner, listen to some music and listen to one of the Canvas staff (meet the staff) talk about their own journey as a Christian.
***If you thought Bible Studies involved trousers pulled up to your chest, digestive biscuits and someone snoring in the back… then THIS is something NOT to be missed!***
Come and see for yourself. Tuesday, 28 October. 8pm. At the Canvas House.
When this first Bible study has come to a close, we’ll all celebrate in mighty ways at how faithful God has been. We strive to show love, grace and acceptance every single day at Canvas and this is one more way that we’ll do just that. Will you pray with us about this huge, monumental opportunity to continue to share Jesus with the community of students around us?
